Dans le cadre de relations commerciales internationales, il arrive que des entrepreneurs se voient confrontés à des demandes de pot-de-vin. Face à la corruption, ils sont souvent démunis. Pour se protéger et résister à ces pratiques illicites, les entreprises ont besoin de respecter des règles strictes. Ainsi, elles auront la possibilité de remplir efficacement leurs obligations juridiques et éviteront toute infraction pouvant mener à des poursuites pénales, dans leur pays d’origine notamment.

Lors de ce séminaire, organisé par la CCIG en collaboration avec Swisscham Africa et International Chamber of Commerce Switzerland, Nicolas Imboden, président de Swisscham Africa, mettra en exergue les problèmes liés à la corruption, qui peuvent être rencontrés dans les relations d’affaires internationales. Dr Marc Henzelin, membre de la Commission Anti-corruption de l’ICC, présentera quant à lui les différentes règles de conduite à suivre. Les trois parties de la brochure ad hoc, éditée par ICC et qui sera présentée durant la conférence, sont :

- les règles fondamentales concernant la lutte contre la corruption
- les politiques d’entreprise visant à en encourager le respect
- les éléments-clefs d’un programme anticorruption efficace.

Un apéritif fera suite au séminaire et permettra aux participants de réseauter et d’échanger leurs expériences.

Gambia Fashion Night

THE GAMBIA FASHION NIGHT (GFN) 2011.

Sheraton Hotel Resort and Spa, 17th December 2011 at 9pm, The Gambia West Africa.

The Gambia is one of the smallest countries in Africa with a population of 1.5 million. Tourism is the main source of income and is its leading foreign exchange earner and one of the pillars to eradicate poverty. The Gambia is an affordable winter destination attracting tourists in search of sun, sand and cultural experiences. GFN is an international event organized in collaboratin with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to promote the destination Gambia as a product and bring media attention to the country. GFN will host international designers and entertainers from all over the world to gain media coverage for The Gambia. The Travel and Tourism Association and The Gambia Tourism Board (GTB) are responsible for showing the media and the stars the beauty of The Gambia. This event is an illustration of what is current in the world of fashion and stages a first class event in West Africa. GFN will give Africa the chance to present its current economical and cultural developments.

Sheraton Hotel Resort and Spa”, a five star hotel, one of the best in West Africa and a top location for our glamorous event, “The Gambia Fashion Night 2011”, which we hope will be the first of many to come. The event will be graced by the presence of His Excellency YaYa AJJ Jammeh, President of The Gambia.

Local and international designers from various countries including Germany, Poland, Nigeria and Senegal will showcase their designs. The designs will be worn by models from the designers own country. We will also feature entertainment from Germany and the USA. The Ministry of Tourism and Culture is promoting the event as an instrument for the international marketing for tourism. GFN will be sponsored and promoted by some of the top companies in The Gambia. The event will be promoted by television teams, print media, radio, and the online media of Germany, Poland, the United States, Great Britain, Senegal, Switzerland, and Nigeria. Gambian television (GRTS), the radio station Unique FM, West Coast Radio, and the newspapers “Daily Observer” and “The Standard” will be media partners.

The airlines serving the Gambia and bringing our guests include Royal Air Maroc, Air Nigeria, Arik , SN Burssels, Condor and Span Air.

The top fashion shops in The Gambia will be presenting a small collection from their shops. Young children In the SOS Kinderdorf will design a fashion collection for their peers and during the fashion night people can buy products from the presenters in small shops around the Sheraton Hotel Resort and Spa.

There will also be an after show party with DJs from Germany, Sweden Jazz Musicians and singers and other forms of entertainment. The sponsors have the opportunity to create an interesting platform for their product presentation.
